When and why did you join the Nigerian movie Industry?
I joined Nollywood in 2011. I got into the industry because I had always had a flair for entertainment and considering the kind of voice I have, music was a no-go-area.
Some refer to you as the youngest movie producer in Nigeria. Ermm, you have got the right curves and a pretty face, why are you making movies and not acting?
I got into the industry as an actress and I did not fare badly, I even got very good roles. In 2012 however, I got an opportunity of producing my first movie and I totally fell in love with the experience. Afterwards, all my attention diverted into making movies, I still appear movies sometimes but I have channeled my energy more into production
A lot of people dabble into various stuffs just because it is trendy, what's your longevity plan for the Nigerian movie industry?
I plan to be here for a very long time. I am not here because it is trending. I am here because I love what I do.
Which producers do you draw inspiration from in the industry?
Emem Isong inspires me. Seeing that she is a woman and has been able to achieve this much and carve a niche for herself in an industry which is very competitive.
I also love Kunle Afolayan, his works inspire me.
Uche Nancy too; her style of business and how she successfully made the switch from been a costumier to a successful producer.
Who are the actors and actresses you have worked thus far. Also let us in on some that you would love to work in the future?
I have been privileged to work with the likes of Mike Ezuruonye, Luclay Misoya (South Africa), Martha Ankomah (Ghana), and John Njamah, Micheal Godson, Ebele Okaro, Elizbeth Pam (Tanzania) and many others too.
In my next movie I look forward to working with Joseph Benjamin and Damilola Adegbite
In future, I would love to work with Majid Michel and Genevieve Nnaji.
How has the movie industry blessed you financially and otherwise?
Financially, movie-making has been able to pay my immediate bills and with time it will get better. Movie-making has also given me privileges to a lot of things and taken me to places I never thought I could be three (3) years back.
What are your challenges as a young movie producer in Nigeria?
Like it is in every occupation, I face some but it does not have to do with my age.
Who are your very close friends and associates in the industry?
I really don’t keep much friends but I can call the likes of Mike Ezuruonye, Yul Edochie, Walter Anga, and Yvonne Jegede my friends.
So far, many movies have you produced? You intend going international some day?
From 2012 that I ventured into production up until now, I have produced four movies and I am working on the fifth one presently.
Yes, I hope to go international someday.
